What a year it’s been. It flew by faster than any other—doesn’t it always feel that way as you get older? Even the best moments seem to disappear in an instant. Looking back at photos from January, I’m stunned at how recent they feel. Time really does move in strange ways.

Pass the punch, please.

Also — can you believe this is week 52 of Thirsty Thursday? I’ve shared 52 different drinks throughout the year. A small challenge turned into a yearlong tradition, and I’m considering carrying it into 2017. How many more cocktails can we create? My guess: plenty.

This punch is an effortless, crowd-pleasing option for New Year’s Eve, whether you’re hosting a group or keeping it small. It’s quick to assemble and looks festive in a punch bowl or champagne glasses.

Frozen blackberries are the secret—each berry melts into the champagne and slowly releases flavor, keeping the drink cold and adding a touch of sweetness. I also added thin grapefruit slices for brightness and a hint of citrus. I’m thrilled it’s grapefruit season again; the flavor is just perfect right now.

Wouldn’t it be fun to share the bowl together? Internet besties for life.
