This non-alcoholic blood orange cocktail is a bright, fizzy take on a citrus mocktail. Fresh blood orange juice, a squeeze of lime and thin jalapeño slices are finished with lime seltzer for a refreshing, lightly spicy drink perfect for happy hour or a sunny afternoon.
Who doesn’t love a hot pink drink with a little sparkle?

Blood orange season brings gorgeous color and vibrant flavor. This spritzer combines bright, sweet-tart blood orange juice with fresh lime and the gentle heat of jalapeño. Top it with lime-flavored seltzer for effervescence that keeps every sip lively.

The balance is simple and delicious: citrus sweetness, a hint of heat and fizzy lift. Use one jalapeño slice for a whisper of spice, a few slices if you like more punch, or muddle them briefly for an extra kick. You can also swap the seltzer for blood orange soda if you prefer a sweeter, more pronounced orange flavor.

This spritzer is one of those “recipes” that feels effortless—no elaborate measuring or long prep. It’s perfect to mix in a pinch, whether you want something special with dinner or a lively non-alcoholic option for guests. It’s also a great way to show off bright, seasonal blood oranges.

I love using blood orange juice in many drinks. If jalapeño isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy blood oranges: aperol spritzes, coolers with coconut water, sangria with berries, margaritas or a bourbon smash. All highlight how beautiful and versatile blood oranges are.

If you like the look of this spritzer, give it a try and adjust the jalapeño to your heat preference. It’s easy to scale up for a crowd—just multiply the juice and lime, add more jalapeño slices if desired, and keep extra seltzer on hand to top off each glass so it stays fizzy.

Time to cheers!
