I am a chocolate snob. A big one.
Not surprisingly, I absolutely adore Sarris chocolate. Located near Pittsburgh, Sarris has been a staple in my life for as long as I can remember, and its chocolates consistently rank among the best I’ve tasted. I’ve done plenty of chocolate sampling over the years, and Sarris is always at the top of the list.
Sarris is full of nostalgia for me. It’s just down the road from my grandparents’ house, and family trips to get ice cream often included wandering through the shop and admiring the chocolate creations. My mom frequently bought bags of chocolate-covered pretzels as hostess gifts or to serve at parties, but I usually found them first. I also use Sarris chocolate in many of my chocolate-covered treats because its quality really stands out — right up there with other premium brands. Recently I melted a few milk chocolate bars to make cake batter bark and other recipes; the results were irresistible.
And when I dip strawberries, I only coat them with Sarris chocolate — nothing else.
