Mimosa punch for Mom — coming right up!

Or mimosa punch for you, of course.
Whenever the words “mimosa” or “brunch” come up, champagne at breakfast suddenly feels perfectly acceptable. It’s the same logic I use for Saturday doughnuts or a margarita with tacos — simple rules for good times. This punch is a bright, bubbly take on that idea and works beautifully for spring gatherings, Mother’s Day, Easter, or any brunch where a festive pitcher is welcome.

This recipe is a spin on the mimosa punch featured in The Pretty Dish. It keeps the classic base of champagne and orange juice, then adds a bottle of blood orange Italian soda for extra citrus depth and color, plus a splash of vodka for a little lift. The vodka is subtle, so you can adjust the booziness to suit your crowd.
If you’re hosting a small brunch, you can keep it simple with just champagne and orange juice (or soda). For a handful of guests, traditional mimosas or frozen mimosas are easy options. But for larger groups, I love making a pitcher — it’s much less fuss than pouring individual mimosas or standing behind a mimosa bar. One pitcher means one pour and more time to enjoy the company.

My favorite part? Fresh mint. I use a ridiculous amount of mint in spring and summer — it brightens the punch and makes it feel crisp and celebratory. I can’t wait to plant my herb garden and have mint steps away from the kitchen so I can garnish pitchers all season long.

For now, I’ll be making pitcher after pitcher of this sparkling citrus punch. It’s easy to prepare, pretty in the glass, and perfect for serving a crowd — especially when you want to keep things relaxed and festive.

Ingredients
- 2 cups cold orange juice
- 2 750mL bottles chilled champagne
- 1 16-ounce bottle cold blood orange Italian soda
- ½ cup vodka – you can use a citrus flavor if you’d like!
- 2 navel oranges thinly sliced
- 1 pint strawberries sliced
- 1 /2 cup fresh mint leaves plus extra for garnish
Instructions
-
In a large pitcher, combine the orange juice, chilled champagne, blood orange Italian soda and vodka. Add a little ice, the thinly sliced oranges and the sliced strawberries, reserving a few pieces for garnish. Stir in the fresh mint leaves. The flavors deepen if it chills for about 30 minutes, but you can serve immediately if you prefer.
-
Serve over crushed ice and garnish with extra orange slices, strawberries, and mint sprigs.

A bouquet of champagne bottles would be a lovely finishing touch. Cheers!
