If you’re tired of apple cider cocktails, try a Pomegranate Aperol Spritz. Tart, fruity and citrusy, it’s bright, refreshing and a perfect fall sipper.
Prettiest cocktail on the block today!

I’ll take an Aperol spritz at every happy hour from here on out — it’s beautiful, crisp and endlessly drinkable.

If you love fall flavors but want something lighter than mulled cider or spiced cocktails, this is the drink for you. It’s icy and citrusy, with a lively pomegranate punch instead of heavy cinnamon notes.

Enter the Pomegranate Aperol Spritz — a simple, elegant cocktail that works for weekend gatherings, Halloween parties or Thanksgiving pre-dinner drinks.

I first experimented with flavored spritzes years ago — a winter version with cranberry and rosemary — and loved the idea of seasonal twists on the classic Aperol Spritz. I’ve also made an apple-cider spritz, which is cozy and delicious. But for a fresher, brighter fall option, pomegranate is hard to beat.

Pomegranate gives the drink a tart, fruity backbone that pairs beautifully with Aperol’s bitter-orange notes. The result is juicy, citrus-forward and utterly pretty — that rosy-orange swirl is irresistible.

This is all you need for your Pomegranate Aperol Spritz:
- Aperol over ice — three ounces is ideal, and crushed ice or regular ice both work.
- A splash of pomegranate juice — start with one ounce and add up to two ounces to taste for more punch.
- Prosecco — about four ounces to add effervescence and balance.
- A splash of seltzer to lighten and lengthen the drink.
- Garnish with an orange wedge and optional pomegranate arils for color and texture.

The finished spritz is airy and citrusy, with just enough pomegranate to make it seasonal without weighing it down. It’s one of those cocktails that looks as good as it tastes — the Aperol and pomegranate blend into a gorgeous sunset hue.
