I’ve got a weekend treat for you!

Avocado chocolate mousse — more like a silky avocado chocolate pudding — piled high with ripe summer fruit. I’m currently obsessed with berries and can’t get enough of them.

Chocolate avocado pudding isn’t new here; I used to eat it almost every day. It’s so good and, in my opinion, doesn’t taste like avocado. Some people still detect avocado flavor, so taste is subjective, but I do everything I can to mask it: melted dark chocolate, unsweetened cocoa powder, honey, and a pinch of salt. The result is dreamy.

This is my current favorite dessert. During this pregnancy I haven’t been craving rich desserts much — I want cold, creamy, not-too-sweet options — which is why fruit-focused treats are winning this summer.
Can we even count the number of cobblers I’ve made since June? Probably not. It’s a lot.

Despite feeling indulgent, this avocado pudding hits the spot without being overly sweet — and you can control the sweetness. Layered with unsweetened coconut whipped cream and lots of summer fruit, it’s exactly the balance I want.
I’m completely into it.

This also makes a lovely party dessert — serve it in little shot glasses or small cups for cocktail hour. It’s elegant and perfectly portioned.

While I consider this a dessert, I used to have a small serving in the afternoon to curb a 3PM sweet craving. It’s satisfying without leaving you feeling like you overindulged, so you can still do yoga a few hours later.
Since Max loves it, I’m bringing it back as a once-a-week treat for us.

Make and serve it however you like — coconut cream on the bottom or the top, any seasonal fruit you have on hand, or enjoy it simply as chocolatey fluff. Make it your own.

Now we can all enjoy the weekend in the most chocolatey way.

P.S. You can definitely think of this as a way to enjoy healthy fats while indulging in chocolate — win-win.
