Happy summer Fridays to you!

EATING

Everything tomato season: marinated tomato BLTs are a must right now. I’m also loving summer shrimp with charred corn carbonara, and avocado, bacon, and egg toast topped with a quick tomato jam.

DRINKING

Refreshing strawberry summer water is on repeat, and I’m making lavender lemonade for lazy afternoons.

MAKING

Pesto and burrata bucatini is a simple, satisfying dish I keep coming back to—creamy burrata with bright basil pesto is summer perfection.

BAKING

Chocolate fudge zucchini cake is an indulgent way to use garden zucchini. I’m also into zucchini bars with cream cheese frosting for an easy, crowd-pleasing treat.

CRAVING

I can’t get enough of a peach, tomato, and corn salad right now. Another favorite is smoky heirloom tomato and grilled peach pasta salad with basil vinaigrette—sweet, savory, and bright.

GRILLING

Filet and potato skewers with rosemary chimichurri are my go-to for a weekend grill. Also delicious are grilled sourdough toasts topped with buttery herbs and heirloom tomatoes for a quick, satisfying bite.

READING

Currently reading The Lifeguards, which I picked up before vacation and just started—perfect beach or backyard reading.

LISTENING

I’ve been listening to Ally Love’s playlist nonstop—such a great mix for summer energy.

WEARING

The cutest block heel slides that pair with everything have been my go-to shoe this season—comfortable and stylish.

SHOPPING

I picked up a few travel essentials before our trip that have been game changers: car backseat organizers that keep everything neat, bentgo chill boxes that actually stay cold, and a gentle wet sunscreen that has performed really well. A children’s atlas has been perfect for keeping the kids entertained in the car, and my favorite car snack has been Soley fruit jerky.

LOVING

Two podcast episodes I enjoyed recently: a practical episode about how to cross the summer finish line, and the final installment in a series on how a book gets made—both thoughtful and motivating.

SHARING

I posted a bunch of new short videos: blueberry lavender vodka sodas, a hot crab dip, a street corn grilled cheese, zucchini corn fritters, and a mango frosé—easy recipes and fun to make.

TRAVELING

We just got home after a week away. It’s wild that we’re already into week ten of summer—time is flying and I’m scrambling to finish summer plans and start thinking about school supply shopping.
