Upcoming Events and Cooking Classes Near You

Hello! I’ve got a few updates to share.

sunday I howsweeteats.com

First — local cooking classes. I’ve been teaching at Crate all year and they’re a lot of fun, even if I occasionally make a mess of things. In a recent class I overcooked oven fries until they were nearly black and nearly set a blender on fire while making a boozy milkshake. If you’d like to join in the chaos, there are two upcoming classes with only a few spots left; they usually sell out. The class fee covers the food, because you will get to eat (and drink) plenty. I always leave completely full. To register, click “classes” on the left sidebar of the Crate website and choose the date in October or November.

OCT 23 – Seriously Delish Class: I’ll be preparing recipes from the book and will sign copies, so bring yours if you have one. We’ll be eating like royalty.

NOV 6 – Soups Class: I’ll make a selection of favorite fall soups with plenty of bread for dipping — think bread bowls and beer cheese. Cozy, cold-weather comfort food with all the seasonal vibes.

If you like planning ahead, I’m already taking sign-ups for classes in the new year — Tex-Mex and brunch in January and pizza in February.

Signed books

If you can’t make a book signing but want a signed copy, you can order one through Penguin Bookshop in Pittsburgh and they’ll ship it to you. Call the store to place an order — it’s a wonderful local shop. For those waiting on signed bookplates from the August promotion: most have gone out, and a few remaining will arrive within a week or two. I signed a lot of plates and we had to reprint some labels due to demand, so thanks for your patience.

Book tour dates

Check the book tour page for full details. This week I’ll be signing books and cooking in Boston on Friday at noon, and next week I’ll be in Seattle and San Francisco. I’ve seen messages from people surprised I’d be in their city, so please check the schedule — all dates are listed there. I won’t be adding more stops since I’m expecting and slowing down a bit, but I’ll still show up (yes, even sometimes in heels).

That’s everything for now. Thank you for making the launch of Seriously Delish so amazing. Keep sharing what you cook — even if you tweak recipes — I love seeing your versions. Post on the Facebook page, tag me on Twitter, or upload photos to Instagram with the hashtag #seriouslydelish so I can find them. You’re the best. xoxo
