Hi there! I missed a week because of my holiday baking post and felt like I missed out on so many internet finds. The web is overflowing with cookies and peppermint — lots and lots of peppermint. I’m into it, especially after treating myself to peppermint bark and some festive extras last night. I’m planning to make my own, though.
How are you? What are your plans this weekend? We shopped until we dropped last night — Max is an amazing shopping companion and can hang out for hours. It’s the best. I’ve crossed several people off my gift list, and somehow bought multiple gifts for myself. Classic me. Today we’re doing a Christmas house tour and then diving into party planning because somebody is turning one. I can’t believe it.
On the How Sweet Eats Facebook page I posted a quick video showing how to make super-easy biscuit donuts served with a Nutella dip. So fun and simple!
If you still have shopping to do, I put together gift guides for Him, Hers, and Stocking Stuffers under $25. I also shared some favorite holiday music and my go-to holiday movies. Over on The Pioneer Woman I showed how to make apple cider syrup — it’s so flavorful you’ll want to sip it, though it’s meant as a sauce.
And of course I updated my November beauty favorites, which may have grown just a little after last night’s shopping. Oops.
Have a wonderful day!
Net favorites (some irresistible things I’m loving right now):
Adorable homemade heart sugar cubes — utterly charming and perfect for gifting or holiday tea.
Baked gnocchi with tomatoes and mozzarella feels like an easy, comforting go-to meal for the week. I might make it more than once.
Peppermint bark frozen hot chocolate — a festive, indulgent treat that’s hard to resist.
Marbled peppermint crunch cake — everything peppermint-chocolate themed is winning my heart this season.
The ultimate meat lovers pizza — because sometimes nothing beats a generous, meaty pie.
Vegan salted chocolate caramel pecan turtles — these are definitely making it onto my cookie tray this year.
Winter crostini — bright, seasonal, and dreamy for holiday appetizers.
Blueberry cream cheese donuts — sweet, tangy, and irresistible.
Cocktail of the month: a cranberry ginger whiskey smash. It’s festive, zippy, and just the thing for holiday drinks.
Mushroom-stuffed cabbage rolls — a great vegetarian option that satisfies without sausage.
Roasted delicata squash tacos — an easy, flavorful weeknight dinner that feels special.
Sticky date cinnamon rolls — dangerously delicious and rivaling my Nutella obsession.
Needlepoint pasta in a light blue cheese sauce — such bold flavor and an elegant comfort dish.
Eggnog almond scones — I’m currently obsessed with eggnog, so these scones are very much calling my name.
That’s what I’m loving and planning this week. Wishing you a cozy, delicious, and festive few days!
