Today we’re making sesame ramen noodles — simple, fast, and comfortingly familiar.

The flavor in this version is completely on point. These ramen noodles are vibrant, savory, and built from pantry-friendly ingredients — no processed seasoning packet needed. Instead, we toss the noodles in a homemade sauce that’s addictive and easy to make.

This recipe is a sneak peek from The Pretty Dish, launching in a few weeks. It’s one of the easiest and most satisfying recipes in the collection — quick, reliable, and full of flavor.

I grew up making packaged ramen sometimes, and it was one of the first things I felt confident making on my own. These days I still buy the noodles for convenience, but I toss the sodium-packed seasoning and replace it with a fresh, flavorful sauce.

These sesame ramen noodles are one of my favorite quick meals. They’re basically a 15-minute recipe — sometimes even 10 if you’re efficient — and require just a handful of ingredients.

The flavor begins with coconut oil, garlic, and fresh ginger. Brown sugar, low-sodium soy sauce, rice vinegar, and a touch of chili garlic paste balance sweet, salty, tangy, and spicy notes. The sauce is finished with toasted sesame oil and the dish is garnished with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.

These noodles work as a comforting solo meal, a fast lunch, or a quick weeknight dinner. They’re adaptable and come together with minimal effort, relying on simple techniques and everyday ingredients.

Sprinkle plenty of green onions and sesame seeds on top for texture and extra flavor. Serve immediately and twirl your fork — these noodles are best hot and fresh.

Below is the recipe card with ingredient details and step-by-step instructions so you can make this in about 15 minutes.
