This cranberry cinnamon whiskey sour is a cozy holiday cocktail: cranberry juice, bourbon, lemon, and simple syrup shaken with ice and served over crushed ice with cinnamon sticks for a festive touch. Cheers!
Everyone needs a little bourbon warmth in November.

Here’s your easy Thanksgiving cocktail for the season: the cranberry cinnamon whiskey sour. It’s tangy, a touch tart, lightly spiced and surprisingly refreshing all at once.

Autumn is my favorite cocktail season: warming flavors, seasonal spices, apple and cranberry — I love turning classic drinks into fall versions, and this whiskey sour is no exception.

This cocktail works beautifully for Thanksgiving. It’s comforting yet bright, tart without being overly sweet, and pairs well with traditional holiday dishes.
Best of all, it’s embarrassingly simple to make.
Shake bourbon, lemon juice, cranberry juice and simple syrup with ice, then strain over crushed ice and add a cinnamon stick. The stick releases a warm spiced note as it sits, making the drink feel extra festive.
Garnish with an orange peel and, if you like, sugared cranberries for a pretty holiday presentation.

Perfect for sipping by the fire with a good show or a book—this is my ideal cozy cocktail for the season.

If you need a batch drink for a crowd, consider a pitcher-style cocktail like a cider sangria or a holiday punch. For nonalcoholic options, sparkling pomegranate or cranberry cider punches are great choices to offer alongside this whiskey sour.
This year I’m loving this whiskey sour version — I can’t resist a good sour. It’s become my new fall go-to and a lovely cocktail to serve at Thanksgiving gatherings.
