Summer 2024 Reading List: Must-Read Books for Your Holiday

2024 summer reading list

It’s here — my 2024 summer reading list!

One of my favorite traditions is sharing books for the season, and this year’s list is packed with fantastic reads. I couldn’t include every great book out there, but I’m so excited about this selection. The first section lists books already available, while the second section is organized by upcoming release dates.

Most titles below link to bookshop.org. If you can purchase through Bookshop, it supports local independent bookstores, which I adore. If you prefer Amazon, I’ve also put together a 2024 summer reading shop there for convenience.

For context on my reading tastes: I gravitate toward women’s fiction—light, fun, beachy stories are my go-to. I enjoy nonfiction, memoirs, and audiobooks for listening. I like thrillers but avoid specific triggers. I read to escape, to lose myself in characters, and I often mourn them a bit the day after finishing a beloved book. That feeling is bittersweet and wonderful.

I can’t wait to hear what you’re reading and your recommendations in the comments!
