Tequila Rosé Spritz Recipe: Sparkling Rosé Cocktail with Tequila

Now this is the cocktail you need for the Fourth of July!

Tequila rosé spritz cocktail: muddled strawberries and honey, a shot of tequila, finished with rosé wine.

The tequila rosé spritz is a light, refreshing drink that feels like summer in a glass. Think rosé spritzer crossed with a margarita: muddled strawberries and honey, a splash of tequila, and your favorite rosé to top it all off.

This is my riff on the “Rosé All Day” cocktail served at Floor 2. While it’s not their exact recipe, it captures that bright, fruity vibe perfectly. We even served this at The Pretty Dish book launch party, and it was a huge hit.

It’s remarkably easy to drink—delicate, effervescent and dangerously simple to sip. After a busy spring of book events and travel, all I wanted was to relax on the patio with a cold drink and grill something casual. This spritz is exactly the kind of cocktail that fits those slow summer nights.

Rosé may be trendy, but it’s delicious for a reason. If you usually prefer white wine over red and want something a little different, rosé is a sweet spot: crisp, fruity and versatile for cocktails. I can’t resist using it not just for sipping but for mixing—this spritz shows how well rosé plays with fresh fruit and a splash of spirit.

I promised myself I’d take a break from rosé cocktails last week, but I had to share this one. I actually have another rosé cocktail coming soon—because when a drink is this good, it’s worth repeating. Trying new cocktails on the weekend is one of my favorite summer rituals, and this spritz is perfect for that.

Floor 2’s name, “Rosé All Day,” is so perfect I’m a little jealous I didn’t think of it. The ingredients here are simple but essential: muddled strawberries, a touch of honey and lemon, tequila, and rosé. They combine into a bright, slightly sweet cocktail that’s both easy and elegant.

Muddled strawberries add natural sweetness and color. A little honey balances the lemon juice, and silver tequila brings a clean, slightly peppery backbone. Top it with rosé and you have a party-ready drink.

With hot weather coming, this is the cocktail I keep picturing. If a plain chilled glass of rosé doesn’t feel exciting enough, this spritz solves that: tequila and a salted rim push it toward margarita territory while the rosé and fruit keep it light like a spritzer. I often toss in frozen peach slices to keep the drink cold and add another layer of flavor—and they’re delicious to eat afterward.

Rosé for dinner? Absolutely.
