Sharing my 2024 kids gift guide: our favorite toys and gifts for babies, toddlers, little kids and tweens—trusted picks we reach for again and again.

Every year I say this might be my favorite guide, and 2024 may top the list. With kids aged 9, 7 and 3, I’ve watched favorites rotate between them: toys that older kids outgrow are quickly adopted by younger siblings. Many items stay because they’re timeless and get played with for years.

This list focuses on the toys and gear we truly love and use. I purposely kept out an extensive LEGO roundup—those remain a huge obsession in our house, and I included only a few standout sets below. I’ve organized the guide by age group so it’s easier to browse: Preschool & Toddler, Little Kids, and Tweens.
