Crispy Salmon BLT Sliders with Smoky Chipotle Mayo

What’s better than buttery, melt-in-your-mouth salmon?

Buttery, melt-in-your-mouth salmon topped with crispy bacon. It’s simple, satisfying, and just the right balance of rich and crunchy.

Yes, there’s bacon. It’s a small touch that elevates the salmon, adding texture and savory depth without overwhelming the fish. And paired with a smoky chipotle mayo, these little sliders become something special.

If you aren’t typically a mayo fan, give this chipotle version a try — it brings bright, smoky heat that complements the salmon and bacon perfectly.

These sliders were inspired by a rave review my dad gave of a salmon BLT he recently tried. We love salmon in our house — it’s a regular on the dinner rotation — and this slider version is a fun twist that’s quick to assemble and packed with flavor.

Think of these as a little weekend indulgence you can enjoy any night. They’re small, so you can have more than one, and they pair beautifully with a side like sweet potato fries. They’re indulgent but still mostly healthy — a satisfying way to enjoy salmon.

Salmon BLT Sliders with Chipotle Mayo

Makes about 6–8 sliders

  • 1 pound raw skinless salmon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 slices thick-cut bacon, cut into thirds
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • Lettuce for topping
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon adobo sauce (from a can of chipotles in adobo)
  • 6 multigrain slider buns or dinner rolls, toasted if desired

Instructions

1. Heat a saucepan over medium-high heat and add the bacon. Cook until crispy and the fat is rendered. Remove and drain on paper towel.

2. Preheat your oven broiler and place the top rack as close to the broiler as safely possible. Cut the salmon into square pieces that fit your buns and season both sides with salt and pepper.

3. Place the salmon on a broiler pan or a nonstick baking sheet and broil for about 5 minutes. Gently flip and broil for another 4–6 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets and your broiler’s power. (My fillets were about 1 inch thick and this timing yielded perfectly cooked, slightly crisped salmon.)

4. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise with the adobo sauce until smooth. Spread some chipotle mayo on each bun, top with a square of salmon, a piece of crispy bacon, a tomato slice, and lettuce.

Enjoy immediately while warm.

These sliders are quick, flavorful, and perfect when you want something a little special without spending a lot of time in the kitchen. Add bacon to dinner more often? Maybe. These are definitely worth it.
