Crispy Parmesan Garlic Tortilla Chips Recipe

I’ve already shared how obsessed I am with La Tortilla Factory tortillas.

They’re fantastic — great texture, delicious flavor, and solid nutrition.

I usually bake them with just sea salt for homemade nachos, but this time I wanted to try flavored chips.

Parmesan garlic tortilla chips

These homemade chips taste almost exactly like Stacy’s Parmesan Garlic pita chips.

That might not be a bad thing — I can’t stop eating them.

Yesterday I left a 2 lb bag of Stacy’s chips in the car for ten hours and somehow resisted. Barely.

The temptation was real — I even developed the shakes at one point.

Baked chips on a tray

I love making chips at home for a few reasons: they’re healthier than store-bought options and have a heartier, more satisfying crunch.

They’re perfect on healthy loaded nachos, for dipping in salsa or hummus — and yes, they’re even excellent with chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 8 (4 inch) tortillas
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Cut each tortilla into quarters and arrange the pieces on a baking sheet without overlapping. Mince the garlic and press it with the back of a knife to form a paste.
  • Lightly spray or brush each tortilla piece with cooking spray or olive oil. Spread a small amount of garlic paste on each piece, then sprinkle with parmesan.
  • Bake for 10–15 minutes, until the chips are golden and crisp. Watch closely so they don’t burn. Let cool slightly before serving.

Bowl of chips

These chips are great for a small party — try not to eat the whole batch yourself.

Personally, I make them on a quiet Saturday night so I can hoard the entire tray. Now you know how exciting my Saturdays are.
