Summer Fridays: Vol. 6 — New Music & Summer Vibes

summer fridays

Hello, perfect summer Friday!

EATING

Grilled chicken Caesar sandwiches are at the top of my list. I’m also loving my favorite smash burgers, grilled vegetable orzo, and a classic Caesar pasta salad—simple, satisfying, and perfect for warm-weather meals.

DRINKING

Mango frosé is my go-to for a refreshing weekend beverage—bright, fruity, and easy to sip while you relax.

MAKING

I’m making a red, white, and pickled blueberry burrata and my bruschetta pasta salad. Both are colorful, flavorful, and great for sharing.

BAKING

The red, white, and berry sheet pan shortcake is my baking pick—light, fruity, and effortless for feeding a crowd.

CRAVING

Grilled peaches with burrata and pistachios are what I can’t stop thinking about—a sweet and savory combination that feels indulgent but fresh.

SNACKING

I’ve been snacking on summer-marinated goat cheese. It’s fabulous and only improves as it sits, making it an ideal make-ahead appetizer.

GRILLING

The best summer mushroom pizza is a must, and I’m also grilling shrimp for a bright shrimp orzo—both cook up quickly and taste like summer.

LISTENING

We’re listening to our 4th of July playlist, full of upbeat tracks to set a festive mood.

READING

I’m enjoying The Art of Vanishing right now—captivating and an easy read for summertime downtime.

WEARING

I’m living in nap dresses—this bright red Anjuli nap dress feels slightly updated and incredibly comfortable. I’ve paired it with a denim jacket and raffia slides I love, plus a pair of strappy flat sandals from a favorite cushioned brand. Everything is effortless and comfortable for summer days.

LOVING

I’ve been using an Epres bond repair hair treatment after adding some blonde back into my hair; I apply it, leave it on for a few hours, and will switch to monthly use. It’s been excellent. I also like a K18 Astrolift volume spray for lift and texture.

SHOPPING

Recent finds include a little woven satchel with a designer-inspired look and a Varley midi tank dress that can be dressed up or down. I’m also loving a zip-through knit and remain obsessed with my Naghedi bag, currently on sale. And if you love Farm Rio style, I’m still excited about those pieces.

SHARING

Last year my sister-in-law suggested doing school supply shopping right after the 4th to get it done and enjoy the rest of summer. I’m planning to do mine early next week and have already started a back-to-school list. I also put together teacher care packages each year—such an appreciated small gesture.

CELEBRATING

Wishing everyone a happy 4th of July—enjoy delicious food, good company, and a safe holiday weekend!
