I told you I was in MAJOR peach mode!

Peach lemonade, here we come — and not just any peach lemonade. This one has a little heat: a slightly spicy, refreshingly sweet mocktail that’s ideal for hot, sunny days.

I’ve been leaning into mocktails lately, and this Cajun peach lemonade is exactly what you want when it’s too hot for alcohol but you still crave something with personality. It’s chilled, bright, and finishes with a little bite.

Homemade lemonade feels special, especially when I make small batches. My favorite variations always include something extra — I love my lavender mint lemonade — and this version gets that extra something from a Cajun-seasoned rim that adds spice as it sprinkles into the drink.
We finish each glass with a dip of Cajun seasoning on the rim so every sip has a hint of heat. I sometimes tuck a small sprig of oregano in for a fresh herbal touch, purely to look fancy while still living the leggings-and-no-makeup life.

If Cajun peach lemonade isn’t your thing, try a sparkling peach cider served cold — it’s another favorite for warm evenings. And yes, if you want to boozy it up, vodka or a splash of tequila would work beautifully in this drink.

Ingredients
- 6 cups water
- 3 cups chopped peaches
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice
- 2 peaches sliced for garnish
- 2 lemons sliced for garnish
- 1 bag frozen peaches for serving (to use as ice)
- cajun seasoning for the rim
- fresh oregano for serving
Instructions
-
Heat the water, chopped peaches and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
-
Carefully transfer the mixture to a blender and puree until smooth. Pour into a jar and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
-
Once chilled, strain the peach puree through a fine mesh sieve into a large bowl or measuring cup to remove solids, pressing with a spoon to extract all the juice.
-
In a large pitcher, combine the strained peach juice with the fresh lemon juice. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Taste and add more lemon if needed. Add lemon wedges and peach slices to the pitcher.
-
Place about a tablespoon of Cajun seasoning on a plate. Rub a lemon wedge around the rim of each glass and dip the rim into the seasoning to coat. Fill glasses with ice.
-
Pour the lemonade over ice and garnish with peach slices, lemon slices and fresh oregano. Serve chilled.
