I’m in love with this recipe — it’s simple, flavorful, and feels slightly nostalgic while still tasting restaurant-level delicious. The idea of sliders isn’t new, but mixing condiments into the ground beef and finishing everything in the oven gives them a uniquely juicy, rounded flavor that’s reminiscent of beloved burger joints.

Easy, fast, and crowd-pleasing

The ingredient list is wonderfully straightforward: slider buns, ground beef, cheese, condiments, and a simple house sauce. They come together in minutes — about 10 minutes of prep and another 10–15 minutes in the oven until everything is warm and gooey. You can also prep components ahead of time, which makes these ideal for entertaining.

cheeseburger sliders in the making

For a fun variation, I borrowed a touch of inspiration from older recipes that mixed condiments into the meat — it adds a subtle, savory sweetness and a little tang that elevates the filling without tasting like mustard. The result is rich and familiar, with a bit of a shake-shack-style vibe.

How it comes together:

  • Brown the ground beef and mix in ketchup and mustard so the flavor is in every bite.
  • Layer the slider buns with slices of sharp cheddar, the beef mixture, a drizzle of house sauce, and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar.
  • Top, brush with a little oil or butter, add sesame seeds if you like, and bake until melty.
  • Serve with your favorite burger toppings and extra house sauce on the side.

That’s it!
