Hi and happy summer! I’m officially calling it summer — it’s here. After a very busy week, I’m looking forward to a relaxing weekend and doing more planting. I might even share a little plant tour on Snapchat, so follow me at howsweeteats if you want to tag along.

I’d also love for you to follow my Pinterest. It’s where I pin a lot more than recipes: style, home, travel, and my favorite inspiration board. You’ll find a mix of ideas that inspire my cooking and everyday life.

Some quick updates: I showed how I make our favorite açaí bowls over on Facebook, and I shared my May beauty favorites. I also wrote about the most incredible lavender-vanilla donuts for the Shop Simon blog — please take a peek (and try one if you can!).

Favorites of the week — things I’m excited about and plan to try soon:

  • Totally making a DIY donut beach umbrella — such a fun summer craft.
  • Strawberry bruschetta avocado boats — an unexpected and fresh combination.
  • PB&J donuts — yes, really. These look irresistible.
  • Smoked salmon, strawberry, and zucchini noodle salad — love the creative mix of flavors.
  • Ten organizing tricks I need in my life — tiny changes that make a big difference.
  • A gorgeous hummus salad that feels both simple and elegant.
  • Bananas foster affogato — a stunning dessert idea that sounds decadent and delicious.
  • Thai red curry tofu soup with sweet potato noodles — comfort food with bright flavors.
  • A summer berry pie that’s super pretty and perfect for warm-weather gatherings.
  • Paleo eggplant lasagna roll-ups — a clever, lighter take on lasagna I want to try.
  • Super quick raspberry ice cream — an easy frozen treat for hot days.
  • Macaroni salad with smoked mozzarella — creamy, savory, and exactly the kind of side I love.
  • An orange crush cocktail — refreshing and perfect for summer evenings.

That’s what’s catching my eye this week — food, drinks, and a few projects I can’t wait to try. I hope you’re having a great start to summer and finding little things that make it feel special.
