A few weeks ago while out shopping, my mom, our friend Barb, and I found a punch at one of our favorite stores. It immediately caught our attention — part treat shop, part weekend bar — and that combination makes it hard to resist.

We asked the owner about the recipe. She was happy to share, and it turned out to be delightfully simple and refreshing: a light, bubbly blend of orange juice, orange seltzer, champagne, and ginger ale. The balance of citrus and sparkle made it one of those drinks you keep reaching for — I easily had five glasses.

Adding sliced strawberries that float on top gives the punch an elegant, festive touch and makes it beautiful to serve.

The carbonation here is gentle — more sparkling than fizzy — so it’s refreshing without the harsh bite that some carbonated drinks have. For me, carbonated beverages often irritate my throat and ears, but this punch feels light and easy to enjoy.

It’s versatile for many occasions — parties, family gatherings, holiday brunches — and honestly, it’s a great pick-me-up for dragging-through-the-week nights. A little sparkle can go a long way toward brightening a Monday.

Champagne Punch

1 bottle of champagne

16 oz ginger ale

8 oz orange seltzer

8 oz orange juice

1 pint strawberries, sliced

Combine the champagne, ginger ale, orange seltzer, and orange juice in a large punch bowl. Add the sliced strawberries so they float on top. This recipe scales easily for larger or smaller batches and remains incredibly refreshing.
