EATING
Everything on my list this week is light, fresh, and perfect for warm weather. I’ve been loving the grilled chicken orzo salad for an easy weekday dinner, my bright and flavorful summer breakfast tacos for lazy mornings, and a cheesy tomato basil baked orzo that’s great for feeding a crowd or prepping ahead.
DRINKING
My go-to cocktail lately is a cucumber mint margarita — cooling, herbal, and ideal for sipping on the porch or by the pool.
MAKING
I’ve been making my crunchy broccoli slaw constantly because it pairs with almost anything. I’ve also been grilling focaccia and topping it with caramelized onions for an indulgent, simple side that everyone loves.
BAKING
On the sweeter side, I’ve baked my coconut zucchini chocolate chip bread and a blueberry peach coffee cake — both are great for breakfast, snacks, or taking to friends.
CRAVING
I can’t stop thinking about my street corn grilled cheese — it’s messy, melty, and exactly what summer comfort food should be.
GRILLING
One favorite meal I keep returning to is blackened salmon with grilled naan. It’s bold, smoky, and comes together quickly — perfect for a relaxed evening outdoors.
LISTENING
I’ve had my “boat drinks” playlist on repeat during vacation this week. It’s easy, upbeat background music that suits long, sunny days and slow evenings alike.
READING
I’m hoping to start Tom Lake tonight — I’m drawn to its northern Michigan setting and am tempted to listen instead of read because Meryl Streep narrates the audiobook. If you want recommendations, I also have a curated summer reading list that gathers my recent favorites.
WEARING
This week I lived in my 9seed cover-up while on vacation. I’ve recommended these for years — they’re an investment, but they last, double as dresses, and are comfortable and soft. Some colors, like white, can be sheer, so plan accordingly. I also wear the Tunisia cover-up constantly; it’s been a longtime favorite and is great for shuttling kids to pools and beaches.
LOVING
My On Cloud 5 sneakers have been a pleasant surprise — they slip on easily, feel comfortable without socks for quick errands (though I usually wear socks), and come in colors I love. They’re simple, convenient, and perfect for busy days.
SHOPPING
The Nordstrom sale wraps up this weekend, and I’ve highlighted a few standout picks I keep reaching for: a versatile Zella dress, cozy Moonlight pajamas, a pair of Steve Madden boots, New Balance 327 sneakers, a luxurious cream set, a soft Barefoot Dreams blanket, and a reliable stroller that’s been great for naps on the go.
TRAVELING
We’re heading home from vacation today and I’m already missing the slow pace, but there are exciting months ahead and I love this season. The days are long, plans are filling up, and there’s so much to look forward to.
