I hope you’re enjoying the peak of garden tomato season! Here’s what I’m into this weekend.

EATING

This weekend I’m planning to make my crispy buffalo cauliflower and maybe the ramen noodle crunch salad. I also shared 33 easy weeknight meals for back-to-school season recently — so many great, simple options worth trying.

DRINKING

With apple season here, I’m eating lots of Honeycrisp apples and sipping a Honeycrisp crush cocktail. It’s bright and refreshing — perfect for this time of year.

MAKING

I’m making hot honey pineapple wedges this weekend. The balance of sweet and heat is irresistible and so easy to prepare.

BAKING

Have you tried the black plum tarts with brown butter? I’m a huge fan of puff pastry recipes (I’ve included several in my upcoming book), and these tarts are a delightful treat when stone fruit is at its best.

CRAVING

I’m craving the grilled peach and corn pizza — if you haven’t tried it, you should. Beyond that, I’m starting to long for cozy fall flavors. I don’t want summer to end, but there’s something comforting about the familiar tastes of autumn.

LISTENING

I’ve been listening to a Nancy Meyers movie playlist. Those songs bring such warm, nostalgic feelings and are great background music for cooking or relaxing at home.

READING

I’m reading The Perfect Marriage, which I discovered through recommendations on social media. It pulled me in immediately and has been a page-turner so far.

WATCHING

I’m rewatching The West Wing — it remains one of my favorites. It’s comforting to revisit a show that feels familiar and well-crafted.

LOVING

I love the simple routines Mel Robbins shares for handling morning anxiety. A handful of small, consistent actions can make a big difference in how the day starts.

SHARING

I posted a new video for my creamed spinach mac and cheese. It’s a delicious way to sneak in greens and makes a comforting weeknight meal.

SHOPPING

This week I was inspired to buy a kid’s foot measuring tool after seeing it recommended. It’s brilliant for tracking rapidly changing shoe sizes at home, especially when you can’t visit a store. It’s affordable and practical — exactly what I needed to simplify shoe shopping for the kids.
