Happy summer Friday! Here’s a roundup of what I’m into this weekend.

EATING

I’m loving my grilled taco chicken with Frito slaw and craving crispy chicken Caesar sandwiches. Also on rotation: a crunchy chickpea salad and a crispy potato and Gruyère pizza — perfect for casual summer meals.

DRINKING

A super refreshing orange crush is my go-to right now. It’s bright, effervescent and exactly what a hot afternoon needs.

MAKING

I’ve been making a grilled summer salmon spread with leftover salmon, and this tomato, hot honey and ricotta tart is an absolute delight for a light dinner or brunch.

BAKING

For weekend baking, I’m whipping up chocolate peanut butter breakfast cookies and my Greek yogurt coffee cake — both great for sharing or a slow morning.

CRAVING

I can’t stop thinking about mango avocado shrimp salsa. It’s a fresh, bright pool snack that tastes like summer in a bowl.

GRILLING

On the grill I’m making zucchini Caesar and loaded grilled potatoes topped with guacamole. They pair well with nearly anything and are crowd-pleasers.

SNACKING

If you need a snack, try pimento cheese fries — they’re indulgent, cheesy and addictive.

LISTENING

I’ve been listening to my baby playlist to celebrate Jordan’s fifth birthday. Five years later it’s still one of my favorites; it’s what played in the delivery room and it’s comforting and easy to enjoy.

READING

Right now I’m enjoying the book Take Me With You — it’s been an engaging read that’s kept me turning pages between activities.

WRITING

I’ve been working on a few pieces: our summer at-home bucket list (the little things that become the best memories), a breakdown of what’s on my weeknight meal list, and my dependable salad formula that never fails.

LOVING

To avoid sun exposure, I’ve been wearing an oversized “husband” shirt tucked into a matching pareo at the pool — it covers everything and feels effortlessly put together. I also love a lightweight white coverup shirt for really hot days; it has a pretty, beachy look.

WEARING

A few summers ago I picked up an off-the-shoulder sweatshirt that I still wear constantly — it’s comfortable and fun. I’ve also been living in high-rise summer pants that are easy, flattering and make you look polished without much effort.

SHOPPING

Right now I’m into 100% cotton summer sweaters — especially striped ones — for their quality and classic look. I’m also eyeing a tote with monogram and color options; it has a high-end vibe I love.

SHARING

Have you tried the Kids Bowl Free program? We’ve used it the past two years and it’s a great option for a sun-free day out. The HappyMe journal is another favorite — it offers age-specific prompts and stickers that kids really enjoy.

BUYING

These crop pants look similar to a pair I loved last year, and I’m drawn to pieces in a juicy starburst color this season — bright, cheerful and fun to style.

TRAVELING

We’re headed to the beach this week and the kids are thrilled — they’ve been waiting all year. I’ll be wrapped up under a giant umbrella and hat, likely tucked into clothes for extra sun protection, and I might even get a few pages in of a book between pool time and family fun.
