Triple Citrus Kombucha Fizz with Salty Chili Sugar Rim

We’re back with our first mocktail of the year: a bright, fizzy Triple Citrus Kombucha Fizz.

This mocktail is perfectly suited to winter citrus season: refreshing, effervescent, and just like a fun cocktail—without the alcohol. Kombucha adds a lively fizz and tang that plays beautifully with fresh citrus and a splash of ginger beer.

It’s a great pick for anyone skipping booze for January or just seeking a lighter alternative. I have a soft spot for kombucha—my fridge is always stocked—and this drink highlights why: it’s uplifting without the crash you can get from coffee and it leaves you feeling good.

This chilled mocktail combines freshly squeezed orange and lime juices with grapefruit or citrus kombucha, plus a touch of ginger beer for bite. Choose any kombucha flavor you like—grapefruit, citrus, or ginger are my favorites for this recipe. If you’d prefer no ginger beer, a flavored seltzer works well too.

For a finishing touch, I rim the glass with a salty chili sugar—a sweet, spicy, and salty combo that contrasts brilliantly with the bright citrus. It’s the same rim I love for pink grapefruit margaritas, and it’s irresistible here as well.

The drink tastes sunny and vibrant, perfect for brunch, an afternoon pick-me-up, or anytime you want something festive but alcohol-free.
