What I’m Crushing On Right Now

currently crushing on

Hello and welcome! It’s been a busy week on the blog and I’m excited to share what I’ve been up to, what I’m loving right now, and a few new things you might want to try this week.

On the recipe front, I published a flavorful grilled steak with spicy marinated tomatoes that’s perfect for warm evenings and easy entertaining. I also posted grilled chicken zucchini burgers — a lighter, summer-ready twist on the classic burger — and a new Summer Fridays roundup full of seasonal favorites and easy ideas to enjoy the weekend.

My monthly favorites for July are live if you want a peek at what I’ve been using and loving lately. I also put together my picks from the 2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for anyone shopping the sale and looking for tried-and-true favorites. If you’re after reading recommendations, I shared everything I read in May and June — a mix of fiction and nonfiction that made for great summer reading.

If you prefer short-form updates, my Substack newsletter is available for curated recommendations, quick recipes, and behind-the-scenes notes. You can also find my shop pages and storefronts where I collect the products and kitchen gadgets I use most often.

For meal planning and everyday life, I posted a new menu for the week with easy dinners and simple sides, plus a fresh “week in the life” post so you can see a typical day around here — from morning routines to weekday meals and weekend projects.

What I’m Loving This Week

I’ve been bookmarking a lot of delicious things this week. A creamy BLT corn dip caught my eye — it’s the kind of party dip that’s both nostalgic and elevated. There’s also a ginger sesame slaw that would pair beautifully with grilled fish or tacos for a bright, crunchy side.

Lemon blueberry muffins are a breakfast classic I want to make ASAP; they’re bright, tender, and perfect with coffee. For cookie cravings, thin and chewy M&M chocolate chip cookies are at the top of my list — simple, nostalgic, and utterly satisfying.

I’m also craving a strawberry-avocado-spinach salad with candied pecans, which balances sweet and savory perfectly and makes an easy, colorful lunch. Cinnamon rolls with cream cheese glaze are calling my name for a weekend bake — nothing beats warm, gooey rolls fresh from the oven.

For savory snacking, a tangy blue cheese dip would be excellent alongside crudités or roasted wings. On the sweeter side, puppy chow marshmallow treats are an irresistible, crunchy-sweet snack that’s fun to make with kids.

For dinner ideas, peach pork chops sound like a delightful way to celebrate late-summer fruit — juicy pork with a sweet, caramelized peach glaze. Homemade chalupas are another comfort-food option I want to try, filled with bold flavors and crisp shells made from scratch.

Simple roasted carrots with a yogurt-cilantro sauce are calling my name as a fresh, healthy side dish, and a crispy rice salad has me intrigued — textures matter, and that crunch sounds brilliant alongside light summer proteins.

Finally, a classic breakfast favorite: egg-in-a-hole on Texas toast. It’s a cozy, nostalgic recipe we love for weekend mornings when you want something comforting and easy to make.

That’s the round-up for now — recipes I published, things I’m bookmarking, and small pleasures I’m enjoying this week. I hope you find a new recipe or two to try, and that your week is full of good food and simple moments.
