Happy summer Fridays to you!
EATING
I’m eating my simple chickpea salad almost every day — it’s an easy, flavorful go-to. I also keep coming back to lemon chicken Caesar wraps for a quick lunch, and bircher muesli has been my favorite summer breakfast lately.
DRINKING
A rosé Aperol spritz has been what I’m dreaming about these days — light, bubbly, and perfect for warm evenings.
MAKING
Peach bruschetta has been on repeat while peaches are in season. I’m also loving a one‑pot peach basil chicken recipe that’s bright and simple to make.
BAKING
I made a peach pistachio puff pastry tart recently and it was incredible — flaky, fruity, and just the right balance of sweet and nutty.
CRAVING
I cannot stop thinking about a garlic bread grilled cheese. The idea of oozy cheese and buttery, garlicky bread has been calling my name all day.
GRILLING
Everything on the grill: pizzas are my favorite right now. I’ve been enjoying a summer BBQ chicken pizza, a grilled steakhouse pizza, and grilled gorgonzola potatoes — all perfect for backyard meals.
LISTENING
I’ve been playing a playlist of amazing 80s and 90s women on repeat — the perfect soundtrack for summer days.
READING
I’ve been waiting for Summer Stage and am excited to dive in. I also put together a summer reading list full of books I love and recommend for sunny afternoons.
WEARING
My buttery soft joggers have been on rotation — they’re stretchy, soft, and extremely comfortable. I’ve also been wearing soft slide sandals in tan; they’re simple, comfy, and easy to pair with everything.
SHOPPING
The simple modern trek tumblers are back in stock in fun neon colors and have become my favorite: lighter, sleeker, and leak‑free compared to other options. With the anniversary sale open to everyone, I’ve been browsing and picked up a pair of New Balance 327s that I love. I also found a jumpsuit I really like and a few other sale favorites that have been great additions to my summer wardrobe.
LOVING
I’m obsessed with everything Barbie movie–inspired this season — all that pink is dreamy. I’ve been eyeing sparkly pink outfits and a neon pink satin pillowcase I’ve used for years. I even grabbed a little people Barbie set because it’s just too cute not to have around.
SHARING
This weekend is the MacKenzie Childs barn sale — a longtime favorite for unique home pieces. They often have fun seasonal items I use every year, like whimsical Halloween decor, a large courtly check bowl that’s great for salads, a tiered dessert stand, and my favorite cheeseboard. There’s always more than usual at the sale, and I shared several picks for those who asked.
PREPPING
We leave for vacation in a week, so I’ve started laying everything out on the dining room table to pack. I also put together a list of summer vacation essentials from Amazon that we use each year, along with a few new items for this trip.
