This summer tequila fruit punch is perfect for a BBQ or pool party. Cherry, pineapple and orange blended with tequila, sparkling wine and frozen peaches to keep it chilled. So fun.
Adult fruit punch is exactly what your summer gathering needs.

This spiked fruit punch is a lively party drink loaded with pineapple, cherries, citrus liqueur and bubbles. It’s refreshing over ice on a hot day, and a little goes a long way.

To be honest, I usually skip overly sweet fruit drinks like the kind I remember from childhood. But when a boozy punch is on the menu? I’m in. A well-balanced, adult fruit punch hits the nostalgic sweet notes while feeling grown up and festive.

Recently I sampled a fruit punch at a local resort during a staycation and loved it. I set out to recreate that bright, fruity cocktail at home so we could enjoy it poolside, on the patio or at the beach. The version I tried included a few purees, but for easy at-home prep I simplified the method and kept the best flavors.

The finished punch keeps the pineapple and cherry notes, adds orange liqueur and bubbly, and uses frozen peaches as both ice and flavor boosters. It’s nearly identical in taste to the cocktail that inspired it—without the need to puree fruit.

My favorite trick: use frozen peach slices as ice. Grab a bag of frozen peaches and add them to the pitcher—they chill the drink and gradually infuse peach flavor. Bonus: the peaches are delicious to eat once the punch is gone.

What goes into this tequila fruit punch
- Tequila (a blanco or silver tequila works well)
- A jar of maraschino cherries, including the juice
- Pineapple juice for tropical sweetness
- Grand Marnier, Triple Sec or another orange liqueur
- Club soda for light bubbles and balance
- Dry sparkling rosé or Prosecco for extra bubbles — choose dry to avoid overwhelming sweetness
- Frozen peaches to chill the pitcher and add peach flavor

This punch definitely packs a punch: it’s sweet and nostalgic but balanced by tequila and dry sparkling wine. If you prefer less sweetness, add extra club soda or choose a drier sparkling wine.
