I’ve mentioned Mother Lovett quite a bit, and there’s still so much more to tell.
One of my favorite stories is when we served her “half” a cake for her birthday. She wasn’t tall enough to see the imaginary half, which made the whole thing even funnier.
Soon I’ll share the grocery-shopping tale with Mother Lovett: picture a 4’9”, 88-year-old woman who seems to pass gas with every step and yells three aisles away, “don’t forget the stool softener!” Who wouldn’t want to hear that?
But that’s a story for another day.
I’ve only written a little about the other special woman in my life — how classy and sweet and endlessly positive she is.
What could make her even classier? A 32-ounce beer stein might do the trick.
Drinking from a giant stein would make anyone feel more upbeat — and undeniably classy.
My dad took this photo at the Hofbräuhaus. If you’ve been there, you’ll understand why the picture looks a bit blurry — that place is an experience.
On a different note, I’m excited because my friends Kelly and Dan are coming for dinner tonight. They’ve got the cutest baby, and if you’ve been reading for a while you might remember that we share a few amusing similarities. Mostly, we all behave like children sometimes.
