Oooooooooh hey — it’s the weekend! I’m so ready. I nearly had a heart attack this past Monday when I saw on Instagram that kids are already heading back to school. How what where when why, and why so early? Is that a thing now? We never went back until at least the third week of August, and every year around this time I get those weird, anxious back-to-school feelings even at the ripe old age of 32. That’s normal, right?

This week I did a ton of writing when I wasn’t busy mom-ing, which lately feels like most of my time. I’m secretly overdue for a Target run — it’s been two weeks and I can’t go that long without being basic. What are your plans for this fine August weekend?

Here’s why I live on the computer:

I declared the week over the second I saw a no-churn mascarpone soft serve. Totally killed me.

Could you imagine doing a DIY sand art manicure? Requires patience — lots of it.

This is one of my favorite salads ever — so simple and wonderful.

Not that I can can (ha! can can) anything to save my life, but I’d like to try a blueberry habanero jam. Sounds so intriguing.

Right this very second I have a huge ball of burrata in the fridge and it must be eaten with roasted peaches and cherries.

This flourless peanut butter chocolate cake is straight out of my dreams.

Desperately adoring a sweet potato, black bean and corn salad because maple-lime vinaigrette—oh my.

I don’t even know how to control my emotions about s’mores brownie brittle. Seriously, what is that.

My waffles from last week feel a bit inferior compared to these everything bagel waffles. Favorite thing ever.

Vegan coffee smoothies sound like an excellent idea — I’m doing this with coconut milk.

I’m debating using pluots, but I’m really into this plum galette and especially that flaky crust.

How does chocolate marshmallow rice krispie treat ice cream even exist? Eeeeep.

Easiest lunch ever might be these smoked salmon and avocado summer rolls.

Could banoffee pie get any cuter? I didn’t think so.

On the menu for this weekend: a lime rosé spritzer. Let’s do it.
