This is my favorite time of year. I love the cooler weather, the changing leaves, and the smell of apple cider everywhere. This month has been the busiest since Max was born, but I’m looking forward to taking our favorite fall drive in a week or two. Today is our wedding anniversary, so we’ll probably celebrate with good food and some time outdoors.

Next week we’re heading to NYC for work, and since I can’t leave my little chubbanugget behind, he’s coming with us. Any baby-friendly suggestions for the city?

This past week I shared chipotle bacon turkey sliders and a confetti snack cake over on The Pioneer Woman. When cake is cut into tiny squares, it totally counts as a snack.

Other finds I loved:

  • You can literally dress as a bowl of frozen yogurt for Halloween this year — how fun is that?
  • These pumpkin banana spice pancakes are begging to be made this weekend.
  • A DIY bar cart runner adds such a cute touch to a space.
  • I can’t believe something edible can look this beautiful — a DIY watercolor cake is stunning.
  • Trashy salads are my thing, and this autumn cobb is an obvious win.

More cozy inspiration:

  • Butternut squash mac and cheese sounds like the perfect thing to curl up by a fire with.
  • Fruit sugars are one of the coolest kitchen discoveries — so fun to experiment with.
  • It’s officially grilled cheese season, and pretzel bread takes it to the next level.
  • The Kentucky mudslide cake is wildly tempting — I can’t even handle it.
  • I’m obsessed with this kale salad featuring kabocha squash and a maple-dijon dressing.
  • Sweet potato chocolate “ice cream” looks genuinely magical and worth trying.
  • I’m always on the hunt for the perfect everyday chicken marinade — anyone else?

Autumn brings so many delicious ideas and cozy projects. Whether it’s something to bake, a savory dish to try, or a crafty DIY to make the season feel extra special, I’m excited to dive into it all. If you have recommendations for baby-friendly activities in NYC or must-try fall recipes, I’d love to hear them.
