I got this pizza dip recipe from my friend Cindy and riffed on it a bit. I kept the same core ingredients but adjusted the mix and layering to amp up the pizza flavor.
I started by chopping pepperoni into small pieces to distribute that classic flavor throughout the dip.

Italian seasoning plays a big role here — I used a generous tablespoon because it gives the dip most of its savory, herb-forward taste.

Full disclosure: I’m not usually sold on Italian seasoning (maybe because it looks a little too “green” and vegetable-like), but in this dip it’s essential.
I mixed shredded mozzarella into softened cream cheese because, honestly, what’s better than cheese with more cheese?
And yes — there’s pepperoni, and plenty of melty cheese. The result tastes exactly like your favorite pizza in a warm, scoopable form.

After combining the cream cheese, half the pepperoni, the Italian seasoning, and some of the mozzarella, I spread the mixture into a baking dish.

I layered the remaining pepperoni on top, spooned on pizza sauce, and finished with the rest of the mozzarella so the dip bakes up with a melty, saucy top that looks and tastes like pizza.

I’m a pizza lover but not always a pepperoni fan — that said, the pepperoni in this dip was a hit. My husband, who adores pepperoni, devoured it. The dip is rich, pizza-forward, and different from typical cream cheese dips — in the best way.

It truly tastes like pizza — melted cheese, tomato sauce, Italian herbs, and pepperoni grease glistening on top in all the right ways.

Serve this warm with crackers, chips, or slices of crusty bread for dipping. It’s perfect for parties, game day, or a cozy night in when you want an easy, crowd-pleasing appetizer that tastes like pizza.
