Hey hey! What do you think about April Fools’ jokes? I’m usually not into prank days (and I’m not a fan of dressing up for Halloween either), but I can imagine that in a few years it will be funny to play a small trick on Max—maybe something simple like hiding jelly beans in the ice maker. Have you been fooled by anything lately?
Weekend plans: I’m hoping for lots of fresh air, running around outside with Max, and maybe grilling a pizza. Is that too soon for grilling? We’re also busy prepping for our brunchshop, which should be a blast, and I have a few other projects I’m excited about. If only my toddler would sleep better, right?
Earlier this week I shared my March beauty favorites, and over on The Pioneer Woman I posted banana bread donuts with a Nutella glaze. They’re dangerously good—I could happily snack on a dozen of them right now. Don’t miss that one.
Here are a few things I’m currently loving:
Isn’t this rhubarb galette the prettiest?
Four words: carnival themed funfetti cake. Oh my gosh.
Practical and satisfying: kitchen spring cleaning—everything you need to know.
Excited to try these roasted cauliflower tacos with chipotle cream. Yes, please.
This thoughtful post on living in excess is fantastic and worth a read.
This DIY ombre glassware project is absolutely adorable.
These photos of cocktails and a tequila + preserved lemon syrup are stunning and inspiring.
New favorite recipe: breakfast egg salad with bacon. So good.
To make this weekend: vegan chocolate hazelnut cake with whipped ganache. Sounds irresistible.
Thai red curry risotto—I’m all over that flavor profile.
Ooooh—check out this grapefruit chile spritz. Delicious and refreshing.
Salted chocolate malted cupcakes are exactly what I need in my life right now.
