Hey hey! Did this week fly by or what? It absolutely flew. Are you feeling like fall yet? I’m not—at all.

On Thursday night I sat on the judging panel at Savor Pittsburgh and tasted some truly incredible food. It was fantastic, but after sampling around forty dishes I wanted nothing more than to collapse on the couch. One bite of each was plenty, even though I kept wanting to try every dessert (always the desserts).

I have some news: I need your help. I’m building a team for a few upcoming projects and I’m hiring. If you’re local and interested, this is for you—consider this your first heads-up.

Another bit of excitement: I’m contributing new, exclusive recipes to The Pioneer Woman site every month. One recent favorite is Homemade Blackberry Soda Floats—they are ridiculously good.

Plans for the weekend? Today I’m helping a friend with some wedding things and maybe soaking up the last of the summer sun. I’ll also be having an ice cream cone. Or a taco. Or a choco taco. Obvious choice: choco taco.

The internet was very kind this week. Lots of delicious inspiration.

Current obsession: coconut tarts with a chocolate macaroon crust. So good.

I can’t resist a little Target shopping now that it’s school-supply season. Grown-up school supplies? Yes please—I may have already bought a few pencils.

Also on my mind: cheesy mozzarella French toast. How did no one tell me about this sooner?

And seriously, why am I not eating fruity pebble buttermilk donuts right now?

Meatball parmesan sliders—yes, please.

Tonight’s plan: make coconut oil popcorn, watch Felicity, and try DIY banana split manicures. Sounds perfect.

I’ve been craving a salmon, potato and arugula salad all week—light but satisfying.

Look at the butter on that cornbread—utter perfection.

There’s something irresistibly comforting about a simple gnocchi with pomodoro sauce; it makes me want to dive in immediately.

To close out the summer I’m dreaming of a blueberry, plum and almond crumble—warm fruit and crunchy topping, yes.

Fresh corn recipes are everywhere and I’m here for it: sweet corn and black bean tacos are a must this week.

Also intrigued by maple bacon polenta—sweet, savory, comforting.

And to top off the week: a kiwi caipirinha (those photos!) or a spicy jalapeño margarita. Or both. It’s been quite the week—cheers to the weekend.
