Hello! I have big news: this is the first weekend in what feels like forever that I don’t have to work on my book manuscript — I turned it in — and our kitchen is almost finished. I can hardly believe it. With the major things done, this weekend is all about the little things: finishing the kitchen clean-up and organization, planting a bunch of flowers, and maybe a trip to the zoo. We might even get ice cream, since Mother’s Day ended up being low-key while we recovered from being sick.
What are you up to this weekend?
Quick notes: don’t miss the short Max Moment I shared last weekend and the beautiful DIY floral chandelier I posted — both are little highlights from the past week.
Now for favorites of the week — treats and recipes I’m loving:
- The prettiest rose cookies — delicate and gorgeous.
- A comprehensive cozy chocolate chip cookie guide that’s amazing for any baker looking to perfect their cookies.
- Chevre cheesecake with pink peppercorn, orange and rhubarb — a truly impressive dessert.
- Passionfruit yogurt popsicles — light, bright, and perfect for warmer days.
- Greek pasta salad with cucumbers and artichoke hearts — a refreshing, crowd-pleasing side or main.
- Brown butter and toffee chocolate chip cookies — rich, nutty, and irresistible.
- Healthy green breakfast tacos — a vibrant, satisfying way to start the day.
- A five-minute blueberry chia lassi — quick, fruity, and nutritious.
- Carrot cake topped with white chocolate cream cheese icing — classic with a delicious twist.
- Avocado, spinach and artichoke dip — I want a giant bowl of this.
- Thai tea ice cream — intriguingly spiced and creamy.
- Cucumber, cilantro and jalapeño margaritas — fresh, herbal, and with a kick.
- Pineapple vanilla bean margaritas — tropical and sweet, another excellent cocktail choice.
That’s my roundup for the week — full of sweet treats, fresh recipes, and a few cocktails to look forward to. Hope your weekend is relaxing and full of small joys, whether that’s tidying up a new space, planting flowers, enjoying a zoo visit, or sharing a great meal.
