Loaded Skillet Toasted Green Beans Recipe

Let’s talk about the most unboring boring green beans. They may look simple, but these green beans are anything but dull. This dish is a small bowl of bold flavors — savory, tangy, crunchy and slightly spicy — and it features everything I love about a great side dish. By the way, I’m somehow still … Read more

Roasted Caauliflower Farro with Pomegranate and Pistachios

A cauliflower farro salad is a simple, feel-good way to start the week. It may not shout summer colors — the muted tones of the season fill this bowl now that bright tomatoes and summer greens have gone — but where it lacks in color it makes up for in serious flavor. This has been … Read more

Welcome to my new obsession: hard boiled egg vinaigrette. Yes—hard boiled egg vinaigrette is a thing, and it’s delicious. Don’t be put off by the idea; this dressing is unexpectedly bright, creamy and tangy all at once. If you love eggs and have extra hard boiled eggs around, this is a wonderful way to use … Read more

Peach, Blueberry and Basil Crisp Recipe for Summer Dessert

This is how I know it’s officially summer. Warm fruit with a crunchy topping and melty vanilla ice cream. I’m the person who always steals the crisp or crumble off the top and leaves the fruit — the crunchy, buttery topping is the best part. My peaches sometimes look like mangos in photos — maybe … Read more

Today calls for a bang bang cauliflower salad! Crispy, sauce-coated cauliflower piled over a vibrant, crunchy kale salad — the combination is incredible. The contrast of textures and bold flavors make this salad feel indulgent yet fresh. We love kale salads because they’re hearty and forgiving as leftovers. Kale holds up to robust dressings and … Read more

Our pizza is striped! These are not just any stripes — they’re elegant, intentional, and perfect for our peach-topped pizza. Look at those slices! Finding really great, ripe organic peaches around here is rare, so I was thrilled to stumble on a few. Still, your peaches don’t need to be perfectly soft — roasting brings … Read more

It’s Monday and I’m asking you nicely: make these. If I could sneak into your kitchen, I’d bake these while you slept. Happy weekend! I’m so relieved it’s finally here after a long week. How was yours? I have to ask: are you making anything for the Super Bowl, and if so, what will you serve? This week my friend Nicole launched her Blissful Bites podcast, and my interview is available there from Monday.

If you need ideas: here’s a video showing how I make my 30-minute buffalo chicken French breads — it’s basically buffalo chicken dip served on toast. For more game-day inspiration, I shared my bacon goat cheese guacamole and a homemade queso with chorizo over on The Pioneer Woman this week.

I’m heading out to dive into the weekend, but first, some favorites I’ve been loving lately:

Have you tried these paleo chocolate chunk cookies? They’re honestly the best — I made them twice this week. We don’t eat strictly paleo, but these come together in one bowl with no mixer and are ridiculously good.

These pizza cookies are exactly my kind of thing — so clever and fun.

I’m craving this Market Street clam chowder after seeing those photos. It looks incredible.

Gina’s post about meal planning for breakfasts, lunches, and snacks is smart and practical — she put together a week’s worth of meals for about $60.

Roasted grapefruit margaritas with smoked sea salt — yes please. They sound and look amazing.

Such a fun idea: a famous besties and couples matching memory game. It’s a sweet printable activity.

I’m still battling it out. Derby or Cinco de Mayo? Bourbon or tequila? Mint or limes? Why not both? I’m talking mint and limes — a combination that works beautifully in a bright, nonalcoholic refresher. A question I get a lot is how to make my margaritas or mojitos without alcohol. Many cocktails translate well … Read more
