BRUNCHSHOP WAS SO MUCH FUN!

I’m still buzzing that the event is already over. We shared a beautiful morning together, and there’s nothing quite like spending time with fellow creatives who truly understand the work, the passion, and the hustle.

Limiting the workshop to 12 people was perfect. It created an intimate setting where everyone could connect, have meaningful one-on-one conversations about blogging, business and entrepreneurship, and not feel overwhelmed by the typical conference crowd.
Over the morning we focused on finding and expressing your authentic style, building a cohesive brand, identifying your core passions and using blogging as a launchpad, growing an engaged audience, pushing through creative slumps, and crafting content that truly inspires.

The DeLallo kitchen was an ideal space for this kind of hands-on, creative workshop. The open, light-filled kitchen is perfect for food photography, styling, and conversation — a real dream for anyone who loves cooking and shooting in a beautiful environment.
We enjoyed a yogurt parfait bar featuring Naturi yogurt and an array of granolas from Nicole at Blissful Eats. Naturi is a local Pittsburgh brand that’s grass-fed and absolutely delicious — the coffee flavor was a crowd favorite, and the lemon and pure varieties were also fantastic.
Nicole’s granola is dangerously good and went fast. She’d been kind enough to send several varieties after our podcast interview, and it was a big hit at the workshop.
Of course there were pastries — croissants, muffins (including peanut butter–filled chocolate muffins), and other treats from the DeLallo bakery — plus plenty of champagne and mimosas to keep the conversation light and celebratory.

After my admittedly long ramble, we shifted into hands-on stations: an avocado toast bar (complete with tangy sun-dried peppers I love) and a “style-your-own” cheeseboard station. These activities were great for practicing plating and styling techniques while enjoying the food and swapping tips.

I kept having to remind myself the workshop was only four hours. It flew by — conversations were lively and focused, people were engaged and sharing openly, and there was hardly a moment of distraction. In hindsight I’ll definitely hire a dedicated photographer next time so we can document more of the day without interrupting the flow.
I need to give a big thank-you to Alexa, who ran around capturing many of the photos used here and graciously allowed me to include them.

This weekend re-energized me. I love what I do and feel incredibly grateful to be able to share it, but balancing work and motherhood since Max was born has been an ongoing challenge. Events like Brunchshop remind me why I do this: sharing passions with a room full of enthusiastic, like-minded people is inspiring and motivating.
There will definitely be more workshops — stay tuned for future dates and opportunities to join us.
Huge thanks to DeLallo for generously providing their beautiful space and to the brands and friends who helped make Brunchshop delicious and memorable.
