Hi there.
I’ve been a bit out of the loop the past four weeks—sleep deprived and completely smitten with a tiny new person I can’t stop holding—so I have lots to share.

First, I have several upcoming cooking classes at Crate. I’d love for you to come hang out—this will be my first real group outing in about six weeks, and I’m excited to get back into cooking with people!
On January 22nd, I’ll teach an all Tex‑Mex class: tacos, margaritas, and more chips and salsa than should be legal.
On January 31st, it’s a brunch class—because brunch only counts if cocktails are involved.
On February 26th, we’re eating pizza until we’re full: all pizza, all the time.
To register for any of these classes, click the “Classes” tab on the left sidebar at the Crate website, then choose the month and the date for the class you’d like to attend.
Next—do you have a copy of my cookbook Seriously Delish? Did you get one for the holidays?

If you do, please share your photos on Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag #seriouslydelish, and upload them to the How Sweet Facebook page—I love seeing what you make.
If you still want a copy, it’s available where books are sold. If you’d like a signed copy, you can order one from my local independent Penguin Bookshop; I’ll sign it and they will ship it to you. Also, there’s an exclusive iBooks edition with audio commentary from me throughout the book.
Many of you have asked about baby updates—there’s a dedicated baby page where I post updates about our little one. I exclude those posts from the main email and RSS feed out of respect for readers who come here just for recipes, but I update the baby page about once a week, so feel free to check it for the latest. I’ll also share monthly favorites there, similar to the beauty and food favorites on my Crumbs page.
That’s all for now—enjoy your Sunday. Are we friends on Instagram yet? If you make something from the blog, please tag it with #howsweeteats so I can see. You can also pin recipes to Pinterest; my Pinterest Inspiration board is still a favorite and I’ll be talking about it soon.
Today I want to make a million things to beat the polar vortex, but I think I’ll start with creamy tomato soup shooters with grilled‑cheese sticks.
I’m also prepping honey‑chipotle chicken bowls for lunches this week, pulling banana bread out of the freezer, and making cookies because I can’t stop—then spending the afternoon on the couch.
