Heeey! Can that Outkast song get stuck in your head too? I’ve had it on repeat in my brain for days after hearing it once — and once it’s there, it won’t leave. Am I the only one?
What was your magic moment this week? I can’t believe summer wraps up in just a few days. Don’t you think there should be time for one more ice cream cone, margarita, pool day and popsicle? We’re celebrating Eddie’s birthday this weekend, so there will be cupcakes, and we might even visit the zoo. What are your weekend plans? Tell me — I’m rusty at staying up past 9:30.
A few updates: I shared a detailed, step-by-step guide on how I soft-boil eggs on The Pioneer Woman. I could honestly eat eggs at every meal. Also, on the Crate and Barrel blog I contributed three simple, healthy lunch ideas for busy days — a little more involved than PB&J, but totally doable.
And now, some of my favorite internet finds this week:
I’m craving these breakfast tacos right now — preferably with a big michelada.
Reason 462 why I adore Harbor Springs: this simple dinner looks so lovely.
How amazing are these honey-whipped ricotta stuffed scones?
Today’s cocktail of choice: the Mai Tai — classic and refreshing.
Have you seen this OMG garlic bread? The name says it all.
Read about how a dessert blogger survives two months without added sugar. That was a fascinating experiment.
Why am I craving this steak and eggs? It looks dreamy.
The weekend needs brown butter oat pancakes — don’t you think?
Putting this on the menu: crispy za’atar fries — perfect for snacking.
I’m totally craving this Southern sweet potato cake. That looks like true comfort food.
Bring on the grill with al pastor chicken skewers.
I’m not usually a big pie lover, but right now I want this tart cherry pie — it’s so beautiful.
