Happy Saturday! I can’t believe how quickly the season has arrived — the final weekend before Christmas and nearly the end of the year. It feels surreal every time it comes around, but this one especially has me in awe.
On the blog this week I shared a nostalgic frozen Oreo cookie dessert, plus a pomegranate-cider roast pork loin with smashed potatoes and a festive marinated Christmas cheese that you should definitely try. I also posted a Nordstrom-copycat royal cookie, a holiday cocktail called the Mistletoe Manhattan, and a batch of smoky savory crackers that are perfect for parties and nibbling.
I also rounded up my beauty favorites from the last two months — there are lots of great recommendations and helpful discussion in the comments if you want more details.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend. xo
What I’m loving this week:
I’m obsessed with the idea of putting together a Christmas cheeseboard — so festive and fun!
A winter salad with rosemary-roasted sweet potatoes, bacon, and pear looks gorgeous and seasonal.
These gluten-free chocolate ginger cookies sound irresistible.
Green chicken tamales are on my must-make list — they look comforting and flavorful.
Adorable and playful gingerbread cookies are always a holiday favorite.
A mushroom and goat cheese galette is exactly the kind of savory bake I want right now.
Everything-seasoned deviled eggs with scallion and dill cream cheese feel like an elevated appetizer option.
Hot fudge cake — yes, please. Rich and chocolatey desserts are calling my name.
Seared scallops with acorn squash mash combine bright seafood and cozy fall flavors beautifully.
Rigatoni with broccolini and sausage is a hearty, satisfying pasta I’m tempted to make.
I’m thinking of making homemade eggnog this weekend — the old-fashioned kind.
Hoppin’ John is a great recipe to save for New Year’s tradition and good luck.
Spiced mulled wine fruit bars sound like an inventive, warming holiday treat.
