This week has been a whirlwind. Today I turn 33 and somehow I still feel 17 — does that feeling ever go away? I’ve never been obsessed with the number 3, but seeing it twice feels oddly celebratory: double threes must mean good things. There’s a lot of celebrating planned for the weekend, beginning with brunch today. I may have also gone on a spontaneous shopping marathon yesterday — with a baby in tow, of course. Start them young, right?
I’m secretly hoping for a funfetti cake the size of my face.
What are your plans for this fabulous weekend? Please tell me they involve chocolate.
Internet finds I’m loving:
- RumChata-spiked coffee just sounds like weekend perfection.
- Coffee-crusted beef tenderloin — holiday-menu worthy and utterly tempting.
- Fruity Pebbles macarons are somehow making my life better.
- Chimichurri-roasted chicken is definitely going on this week’s menu.
- That pumpkin butter looks creamy and indulgent — yes please.
- Spaghetti squash burrito bowls are a genius, lighter twist on comfort food.
Also on my must-try list:
- Pumpkin pie cream puffs — everything I didn’t know I wanted.
- Shaved broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and kale salad with truffle-parmesan dressing — an instant upgrade.
- An affogato dessert bar has become an essential for any party I host.
- Homemade hot chocolate mix — it’s officially hot chocolate season.
- Southwestern stuffed bell peppers — Eddie would absolutely lose it over these.
- All-edges brownie cookies are a delightful discovery.
- Roasted seasonal vegetables with black rice — visually stunning and cozy.
- Butternut squash breakfast hash — because I can’t stop with the butternut obsession.
It’s a good week for comfort food, experimental desserts, and a little celebration. Whatever you try, make it delicious and enjoy the weekend.
