Or, how much can I possibly embarrass myself.

A classy breakfast made with trashy cereal — together in one bowl. It really is magically delicious.

I’ve posted about Lucky Charms a few times over the years, and maybe three posts in three years is a bit much — but I couldn’t resist. I feel like I’ve explored most of the Lucky Charms ideas I wanted to try.
First came boozy Lucky Charms milkshakes. Then a one-bowl whiskey chocolate cake folded with Lucky Charms. Both used booze, so this time I wanted something more breakfast-appropriate.

I’m a huge chia pudding fan — I’ve shared several versions here and made many more at home. I love the texture, the satisfying feeling after eating it, and how versatile it is. Chia pudding takes on so many flavors, so combining it with cereal milk felt like a natural next step.

I practically want to frame the marshmallow photo and make it my phone background. Lucky Charms wasn’t my absolute favorite cereal growing up — that honor goes to Cinnamon Toast Crunch — but those marshmallows are adorable: neon and impossibly bright.
They’ve changed the marshmallows over the years. I finally ordered a marshmallow-only bag and found they look more like the old-school pieces from my tween days — oddly shaped and less rainbow-perfect. Some modern marshmallows are almost fluorescent. Radioactive marshmallows, anyone?

Delicious in moderation, for sure. Once a year we can do this.

I’ve been fascinated with Momofuku’s cereal milk for years. Their cornflake version is special — and I never used to drink the leftover milk from a cereal bowl, but cereal milk made on purpose is a different story.

If you’re someone who loves to scoop and drink the leftover bowl milk, you’ll appreciate cereal milk’s flavor: subtly sweet and infused with the cereal. I often use a coconut almond milk as the base and add just a touch of honey. For the chia pudding itself, the ingredients are simple: cereal milk, chia seeds, honey and vanilla — plus a pinch of salt.
Texture-averse readers take note: this recipe combines chia’s gelatinous texture with the marshmallow chew of Lucky Charms, which could be a lot to handle. If that sounds off-putting, maybe reach for Cinnamon Toast Crunch instead.

Now I want to build a massive layered Lucky Charms chia parfait — banana soft serve, coconut whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate drizzle, a swipe of peanut butter. But I’ll restrain myself for now.

Whisk together the cereal milk, chia seeds, vanilla, honey and salt in a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes, then stir to break up any clumps.
