I feel seriously deprived. I’ve never actually had frozen hot chocolate, so I can’t honestly claim to be an expert. But I really, really, really want to try it. Does that count? Can someone please teleport me to New York City so I can taste the famous Serendipity frozen hot chocolate? And while you’re at … Read more

Happy Saturday! I’m so glad March has arrived — I’ve been counting down to when we turn the clocks forward and can enjoy longer, sunnier days. Hey hey! Did this week fly by or what? It absolutely flew. Are you feeling like fall yet? I’m not—at all.

On Thursday night I sat on the judging panel at Savor Pittsburgh and tasted some truly incredible food. It was fantastic, but after sampling around forty dishes I wanted nothing more than to collapse on the couch. One bite of each was plenty, even though I kept wanting to try every dessert (always the desserts).

I have some news: I need your help. I’m building a team for a few upcoming projects and I’m hiring. If you’re local and interested, this is for you—consider this your first heads-up.

Another bit of excitement: I’m contributing new, exclusive recipes to The Pioneer Woman site every month. One recent favorite is Homemade Blackberry Soda Floats—they are ridiculously good.

Plans for the weekend? Today I’m helping a friend with some wedding things and maybe soaking up the last of the summer sun. I’ll also be having an ice cream cone. Or a taco. Or a choco taco. Obvious choice: choco taco.

The internet was very kind this week. Lots of delicious inspiration.

Current obsession: coconut tarts with a chocolate macaroon crust. So good.

I can’t resist a little Target shopping now that it’s school-supply season. Grown-up school supplies? Yes please—I may have already bought a few pencils.

Also on my mind: cheesy mozzarella French toast. How did no one tell me about this sooner?

And seriously, why am I not eating fruity pebble buttermilk donuts right now?

Let’s make breakfast, eat it, and talk a little. Today we’re making a homemade cereal—muesli-style—but I’ll admit I don’t often eat cereal for breakfast. It’s more of a snack for me, sometimes lunch, dessert, or hey, second breakfast. Still, cereal that’s crunchy and satisfying is always a win. I have nostalgia for 90s cereals—there was … Read more
