It’s here — my 2019 rosé guide is finally ready.

I’m excited to share my favorite rosés for 2019. This year I focused on wines I’ve tasted and trusted — a blend of new discoveries and standout bottles from the past year. I organized the list by price point so you can pick a bottle for any occasion, whether it’s a special dinner or a casual weeknight on the back deck.

Quick notes: I live in Pennsylvania, where wine selection in grocery stores is limited, so availability and prices may differ depending on where you live. Also, rosé is best enjoyed young — typically from the previous vintage — rather than aged for many years.

For each wine I included flavor notes to help you decide what matches your palate. Notes are subjective, but they’re a useful guide — I’m personally drawn to strawberry and watermelon flavors in rosé.
Summer is prime rosé season. We tasted many bottles to narrow this down to the best options across different price ranges. Here’s the list.
Summer 2019 Rosé Guide

Rosé under $30
These are my go-to splurge bottles. Miraval is a classic favorite; this year I also loved By.Ott and Hampton Water.
Miraval Rosé // strawberry, citrus
By.Ott Rosé // white peach, apricot, mango
Hampton Water Rosé // strawberry, melon, cherry
La Bargemone Rosé // strawberry, floral

Rosé under $20
This category is crowded with great options. Minuty has been a long-time favorite, while Notorious Pink and Summer Water stood out to me last season.
Summer Water Rosé // grapefruit, strawberry, white peach
Notorious Pink Rosé // melon, raspberry, sweet cherry
Minuty Rosé // peach, candied orange
Vanderpump Rosé // strawberry, tangerine, peach
The Palm by Whispering Angel Rosé // fruity, floral

Rosé under $15
This is a favorite category — lots of delicious, affordable rosés. Emotion and Cote des Roses tie for my top pick here.
Pink Flamingo Gris Rosé // red currant, strawberry
Emotion Rosé // strawberry, orange zest, floral
Gerard Bertrand Cote des Roses // grapefruit, floral
Julia’s Dazzle Rosé // strawberry, orange blossom, melon
Pascual Toso Barrancas Rose // raspberry, melon

Rosé under $10
Options are limited at this price in my area, but these two are worth trying if you’re on a tight budget.
Hecht and Bannier Languedoc Rosé // raspberry, cherry, pineapple
Nicolas Pinot Noir Rosé // strawberry, apple, citrus

Canned Rosé
Canned rosé has come a long way — it’s convenient and now available in higher-quality versions. These are the best canned rosés I tried.
Underwood Rosé Wine // strawberry, watermelon, peach
Underwood Rosé Bubbles // strawberry, fruit cocktail, cherry
House Wine Rosé Bubbles // berry, citrus
Crafter’s Union Rosé // watermelon, strawberry, peach
Sterling Vineyards Rosé // berry, orange blossom
Cupcake Rosé // watermelon, raspberry
Ah So Rosé // citrus, strawberry
C’est Le Vin Barnard Griffin Rosé // cherry, raspberry, citrus

What to pair with rosé? I love a simplified cheese board: a wedge of Humboldt Fog, a crusty baguette, and fresh fruit like grapes, cherries or watermelon. It’s an easy, crowd-pleasing pairing that’s perfect for picnics, patios, and vacations.
For more relaxed entertaining, keep it simple: chilled rosé, a few cheeses, some olives or nuts, and seasonal fruit. That’s my go-to formula for summer sipping.

I’d love to hear what rosé you’re excited to try this summer or if you’ve discovered a new favorite. Share what you’re drinking and enjoying — there’s always room for more rosé recommendations.

Is there anything more beautiful than a simple, delicious summer spread?
