Hello summer Friday!
EATING
I’m loving my corn and peach pizza with garlic sauce — it’s unbelievable. Cedar plank salmon is on repeat, and grilled shishito peppers with lemon are a must for warm evenings.
DRINKING
My go-to cocktail right now is a rosé Aperol spritz. I’m also making lavender blueberry vodka sodas for something a little fruity and refreshing.
MAKING
Grilled peaches with lavender honey and whipped ricotta are too good to skip. They’re simple, elegant, and perfect for summer.
BAKING
It’s way too hot to bake often, so I’ve been making s’mores bites instead — no oven required and still delicious.
CRAVING
I can’t stop thinking about a hot bacon caprese salad and no-churn coffee Oreo ice cream. Both are summer cravings that hit the spot.
GRILLING
Grilled gorgonzola potatoes are a constant on our grill, and summer chicken skewers with basil couscous are another favorite for easy weeknight meals.
LISTENING
I’ve been listening to the golden hour playlist — it’s perfect for late afternoons and backyard hangs.
READING
I started The Summer Pact this week. For more options, I’ve put together a big summer reading list to share my top picks.
WEARING
I’m obsessed with a pink ribbed dress right now, and when it’s super hot I throw on an easy black dress after showering — perfect for running errands. For the kids, I dress them in bright contrasting colors in the pool so they’re easy to spot: orange, pink, red. A hot pink rash guard has been amazing for all three of them — vibrant and practical. The kids also never go without sunglasses; Max loves the baseball-style frames and Emilia copies him. I got matching hot pink and hot pink-orange pairs, which came with cases and cleaning cloths and have been a huge hit.
LOVING
I’m loving clear pouches for my bag in summer. They keep all the kids’ items organized and easy to find. While designer options are cute, affordable clear pouches from Amazon work just as well and come in many colors and shapes with smooth zippers. Double-layer cosmetic bags have also been a favorite — great for packing, travel, and keeping snacks organized.
SHOPPING
I shared my anniversary sale favorites, including comfortable Nike shoes, Osea body balm, my favorite slippers, a cozy crewneck, Longchamp essentials, a Veer wagon, the Doona car seat/stroller, Boll & Branch sheets, and Staub baking dishes. These are items I reach for again and again.
BUYING
I almost missed Target Circle Week amid all the sales, but I found some great deals: the Tineco vacuum I use daily, a Breville Smart Oven Pro and espresso machine, a Ninja Creami, a cordless KitchenAid mixer (a lifesaver), sunscreen and skincare we use for the whole family, Beats Pro earbuds, a compact Canon printer we love, and a set of GreenPans. I’ve made lists on LTK to keep track of everything I want and what I actually use.
SHARING
I’m starting to gather back-to-school items to have at home and for the kids’ classrooms — a little early, but it helps the summer feel more relaxed when the slower pace arrives.
