For nearly a year I’ve been debating whether to share our weekly dinner plans. If there’s one thing I can never get enough of, it’s dinner ideas. No matter what I’m cooking, I love seeing what others are having — it sparks inspiration.
The reason I haven’t shared before? I’m unorganized, fickle, a bit lazy, and definitely rebellious.
Since we don’t yet have children, we rarely stick to a strict dinner schedule — and I love that freedom. We don’t need to be regimented in the evenings. Often my dinner inspiration hits during the day while browsing blogs, and I suddenly find a recipe I must make immediately. Maybe that’s why we’ve already made seven trips to the grocery store this month — and it’s only January 9th.
To find a balance between sharing and staying flexible, I created a page that lists our dinners from the past week and I’ll update it every week. That way the record is there without forcing me into a rigid plan. I don’t do well with strict rules.
You can find the What We Ate page under the Fitness tab because, for now, there isn’t a better spot for it. Until the site gets the redesign it needs, that’s where it lives.
I hope this weekly page helps anyone stuck in a “what’s for dinner?” rut. Check it each week for ideas — and tomorrow I’ll share a tasty twist on a classic dish.
