It’s irresistible.

Camembert melts beautifully and offers a deeper, nuttier flavor than brie. It’s silky and rich, making it a lovely change for a holiday cheeseboard.

If you want an appetizer that feels elevated but is effortless, this is it.

This is practically a no-recipe recipe: it’s flexible and forgiving, so you can adapt it to your tastes.

How to make it

Begin by scoring the top of the cheese; this helps when serving and lets the interior become wonderfully oozy.

Spoon whole-berry cranberry sauce or your favorite preserves over the top. Any jam or preserve you like will work, so feel free to customize.

Add a sprig of fresh rosemary for aroma and a festive look, then drizzle generously with hot honey. You can add more honey after baking if you like it extra sweet and spicy.

Bake for about 10–15 minutes until the camembert is soft and melty. Finish with another drizzle of hot honey and a sprinkle of salt and pepper, then serve immediately.

Serve with crostini, toasted baguette slices or your favorite crackers. If you have time, slice a baguette, brush with olive oil and toast until golden; otherwise, store-bought crostini work great and save time during busy holidays.

This appetizer is best eaten right out of the oven. If you need to transport it, bring it unbaked and ask the host to pop it in the oven briefly before serving.

Pure cheesy, dreamy goodness.
