And gummy hearts! Yes — champagne gummy bears are real, and they’re easy to make at home.

I’m all in for rosé gummies. They’re trending, delicious, and surprisingly simple to prepare. Whether you’re planning a watch party, a spring gathering, a cocktail night, or a casual Sunday with friends, these charming little candies make a delightful treat.

They might be one of my favorite homemade projects in a long time. They’re fun to make, more straightforward than you’d expect, and utterly adorable. I can think of dozens of reasons to make them — so I’ll focus on why you should try them instead.

I’ve always loved Sugarfina’s champagne bears, and when I discovered you can recreate a similar candy at home I was thrilled. I based my version on a rosé gummy recipe I found, swapping in rosé champagne for an even better result. Homemade champagne gummies capture that light, bubbly flavor perfectly.
In a whimsical moment I even added edible gold leaf to heart-shaped gummies — a little garnish that makes them feel extra special.

What you need: a silicone mold set and a dropper make filling shapes simple. It’s a bit repetitive to fill many molds, but using a dropper or small creamer keeps the process tidy and fast. The task tests patience a little, but it’s enjoyable and low-stress.

Ingredients are minimal: rosé champagne, granulated sugar, and powdered gelatin. If you’ve worked with gelatin before, you’ll find this recipe easy and familiar. The technique is straightforward and works well in a home kitchen.

These gummies have a texture more like jello jigglers than store-bought gummy bears, which is not a bad thing — they’re delicate and best when chilled. Store them in the fridge and bring them out for parties. They hold up fine for a few hours at room temperature and even overnight, but they’re at their best when kept cold. For gifting, pack them the day of or keep refrigerated until you give them away.

My favorite way to enjoy them: invite friends over, make the gummies together, finish off the leftover champagne while the molds set (about 90 minutes), then nibble on the finished candies. For a playful twist, drop a few gummies into a flute for an extra boozy pop — it’s delightful.

- 2 1/2 cups rosé champagne
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup powdered gelatin

Heat 1 cup of champagne in a small saucepan over medium heat and reduce it by half.
-
While it reduces, combine the remaining champagne with the powdered gelatin and let it bloom for about 5 minutes.

Whisk the sugar into the reduced champagne, then add the gelatin mixture. Keep whisking over medium heat until the sugar and gelatin dissolve and the mixture slightly thickens. Remove from heat.
-
Use a dropper or small pouring vessel to fill molds. Wipe away any excess and refrigerate for about 90 minutes, or longer, until set. Store chilled and serve within a day or two for best texture.
